Our Approach

From Concept to Innovation

The Vision-Concept Group

Each of our projects begins in the Vision-Concept (VisCon) Group which comprises project managers and various experts including incentive-centered desginers (ICD), economists, legal scholars, technology professionals, etc. These meetings are like highly organized brainstorming sessions whose purpose is for all members to share as much technical understanding and ascertain the nature of the problem and underlying causes and the nature of its potential solutions

VisCon Teams

The VisCon Group is divided into several smaller VisCon Teams (3-4 members) with each member on multiple teams some overlapping to ensure the sharing of information across teams.  Each team has one project manager who leverages the various team member expertise, ensuring the team designs multiple potential solutions formulated in high-level, formal deliverables called concept designs.  They outline the solution strategy, specify targets and objectives, and provide a needs assessment.

The Stomping Ground

Concept designs that are sufficiently complete are presented to the full VisCon Group to tests its validity, feasibilty, and potential. VisCon team members are pressed if more can be achieved with the same resources. Projects that are not ambitious enough will not receive approval. Those that do move into that VisCon Team’s Sandbox.

The Sandbox

The Sandbox is where each VisCon team takes its concept designs and begins with mini-implementations.  The aim is to produce a roadmap outlining how the solution strategy can be taken to full scale implementation and designing the quantiative methodology for evaluating the project performance while identifying potential hindrances and unexplored possibilities.  Roadmaps are presented to the VisCon Group for the Go/No-Go decisiong on full scale production with the project management team lead having a veto.

Even for projects in full-scale production, the project management team has significant freedom to move personnel and resources across projects depending on the success and potential of each project.
